pottery classes and experiences

We warmly welcome beginners, improvers (and real life proper potters!). Sign up for one to one, two to one or group experiences, or look at our regular weekly short courses, available in mornings/evenings.

We also offer seasonal workshops – come along by yourself or with friends and family for a relaxed session!

Please do call or email for more information

One to one / Two to one

You can choose between throwing on the wheel, or hand-building. Sessions last for 2.5 hours and are scheduled on weekday mornings/evenings and some weekends (although these tend to book up quickly). You will make approximately 3 pieces, and can choose glazes so that they can be fired, glazed, refired and collected/posted to you a few weeks later.

1:1 sessions cost £75

2:1 sessions cost £135

Private groups

These are ideal for groups of friends, family and colleagues. Children are welcome. We can arrange in advance what you would like to do – trying out the wheels, following a hand building project, decorating and glazing pre-made items – it’s up to you! Pricing/timings will depend on numbers of participants and what you would like to do.

The studio is very close to several bars and restaurants on The Tything – perhaps create and then celebrate!

Carolyn used to be a lawyer in a previous life, but now actually enjoys going to work! She splits her time between making her own range of tableware and homeware for sale, and sharing her love of pottery with students, whether one-offs or regulars. Her family and pup also get a look-in on occasion.
